If Beyoncé wasn’t already the talk of the week, she definitely is now. With the release of her Netflix Documentary, Homecoming last week, her father Mathew Knowles has added fuel to the fire with a new revelation.
Mr Knowles has announced a biographical Destiny’s Child musical is in the works, detailing the story behind the much-loved girl group and told from his own perspective as their former manager. The musical is said to be called Survivor: The Destiny’s Child Musical, set to premiere in 2020.

In a statement, Knowles said:
“I want to pull back the curtain…I feel it’s time to give the world an opportunity to hear, see and feel the victories and failures that I’ve had as a husband, father and manager who risked everything in pursuit of fulfilling dreams – those of mine and others.”
Made up of Beyoncé, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, the Grammy award-winning 90s/00s act are one of the highest-selling girl groups of all time, alongside The Spice Girls, TLC and The Andrews Sisters.
The musical will premiere in Beyoncé’s home town of Houston, with hopes to make it to Broadway and London’s West End.
