A media release earlier this morning has confirmed The National will be touring Australia during March and April next year.
The Brooklyn-based band will be playing a total of seven dates across Fremantle, Sydney, Brisbane and a generous three nights in Melbourne.
The National have announced 2020 Australian tour dates following the release of their eighth studio album, I Am Easy To Find.
This tour celebrates the band’s eighth studio album, I Am Easy To Find, which was released a month ago via Remote Control Records / 4AD. Collaborating with director Mike Mills, the album came alongside a 24-minute film starring Alicia Vikander. These projects were not made to support the other, only to share the same vision, Mills explaining the pair as “playfully hostile siblings that love to steal from each other.”
Also joining the I Am Easy To Find tour for all dates will be American musician Phoebe Bridges. Bridges’ debut album Stranger in the Alps gained international acclaim, with many describing her work as similar to Joni Mitchell and Elliott Smith.
General tickets for this huge tour are on sale at 9am on June 28th with a Handsome Tours pre-sale also available from 9am on June 27th.
