The full Stranger Things season 3 soundtrack is here!

Just 24 hours after the Stranger Things season 3 premiere, we can all wrap our ears around their iconic soundtrack. Bursting with 80’s classic hits and some hidden gems from the era, this edition is dripping in as much nostalgia as the neon tungsten lighting and QBert watches.

The soundtrack features chart-topping tracks such as Material Girl by Madonna, Can’t Fight This Feeling by REO Speedwagon, and Moving In Stereo by The Cars, which is played over Lifeguard Billy’s saunter into the Hawkins Pool as a nod to the iconic scene in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Stranger Things 3

From classic 80’s throwbacks to original compositions written by the show’s composers, the Stranger Things Season 3 soundtrack is oozing with synth-pop nostalgia.

We’ve all been waiting for them to sneak in the classic from Wham! Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, and our prayers have been answered with the full flare of an 80’s aerobics class scene to match.

What’s more, there is an entire Spotify playlist of the show’s soundscape. The compositional synth wizards, Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, have written their best score yet, underpinning some of the show’s most potent scenes. Capturing old-school mall magic, a summer of falling love and riding out puberty (all whilst battling supernatural Demogorgons), the score draws on early synth-pop style for that fun-loving feel.

The playlist includes all their work, a bunch of influential 80’s jams, along with some jazz, punk and Muzak vibes. For the full season listening experience, stream the entire official Spotify playlist below:

The non-original soundtrack, a full 16 song list of classic tunes, is out now via Legacy Recordings on digital, CD and cassette, with a vinyl issue release on the way (available for pre-order, to be released 27th July). Also being etched onto the 7″ is an original cast recording of Never Ending Story.
