A-ha will be bringing Rick Astley to Australian shores next year in what will surely be remembered as the tour nobody asked for, but everyone secretly needed. Feel free to check today’s date, this is no April fools gag.
Roadhouse Entertainment and Frontier Touring will be bringing A-ha back for their first shows on Aussie soil since 1986! Despite cutting their teeth on the international touring circuit in Australia, the band have neglected their followers down under for over three decades.
A-ha, the group that penned the worldwide hit Take on Me, will be touring Australia for the first time in 34 years next February and March, and they’re bringing Rick Astley along for the ride because… why not?
The band will also be visiting New Zealand for the first time in their extensive career. The tour will grace the fine wineries of Aus and NZ as a part of A Day on the Green, where they will be joined by iconic 80’s ground Pseudo Echo and Sydney art-pop darlings I Know Leopard.
In between these lush outdoor shows, both A-ha and Mr Astley will be hitting some massive stadium shows through Frontier Touring.
A-ha will be playing their breakout 1985 record Hunting High and Low in full across the tour.
