All throughout the new single, East Of Queen (real name Katherine Parsons) glides through a mesmeric blend of indie-rock, pop, shoegaze, and psychedelia, delivering something uniquely her own. With dense, woozy guitars, shimmering synths, and ghostly vocal melodies, Crickets is a masterclass in musical texture.
Across its three-and-a-half-minute run-time, the song builds into something quite cathartic—the further into the song you venture, the more enveloping it becomes.
