Social media went into a simp frenzy last night after Samsung leaked images of its newest creation, a virtual assistant aptly named ‘Sam’.
Sam, who’s being likened likening to goth-GF Pixar character, is a young blue-eyed lady with shoulder-length brown hair and rosy cheeks.
In the images, she is pictured holding a Samsung smartphone, while sporting some official Samsung Galaxy merch in the form of a T-shirt. And, well, she’s really hot too. But what makes the Samsung virtual assistant hot to such a degree?
Well, the first known images of Sam from Samsung were released mysteriously by a visual arts production house known as Lightfarm Studios for several hours, before suddenly being taken down.
However, it wasn’t long before sexy Samsung sam reappeared, as the internet did its thing – and now we’re overrun with Samsung assistant girl fanart that belongs in horny jail.
No known campaign has been associated with the Sam Samsung creation. However, there are speculations that it is the long-awaited follow-up to Samsung’s flop of a Siri-rival, Bixby.
Much like Siri, Bixby is a voice-activated digital assistant designed to perform tasks on your Samsung device. This includes sending texts, perform tasks, set reminders, and other specific operations.
However, Samsung misfired big time with a frustrating and unstable physical integration into the design of the Galaxy S8, S9, and Note 8 via a single Bixby button. The problem? That button was just too damn easy to press, setting the feature off constantly and annoying the hell out of users in the process.
The year is 2021

However, there has been no official announcement whether Samsung sam hot is actually replacing Bixby. Instead, Twitter users briefly bore witness to a mysterious and soon-deleted Samsung new virtual assistant post from Lightfarm:
“Throughout the process, the team devoted itself to developing realistic materials, mainly for the character’s hair and clothing, so that Sam appeared aesthetically pleasing. Sam was an incredible partnership between the Cheil Agency and Lightfarm, and we are thrilled to be part of this project!”
It’s a great description, but what does it all mean?
We still don’t know whether the images shared online are indicative of a final design on Sam Samsung virtual assistant or just one of many concepts currently being workshopped.
Further, is Sam strictly a marketing tool or will she be appearing in full form on the next device? Or is this all a joke?
Either way… we ain’t mad.
It’s not the first time Samsung VA plans have fallen through. Last year, the company were rumoured to release an AI-generated VA called NEON but did not include it with the Samsung Galaxy S21 or other Galaxy devices. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for updates on Samsung Sam virtual assistant as they come through!
I’m sorry I just have to ask, what the heck is going on with Samsung’s new Virtual Assistant’s hair? What is this??? Sam are you good?????? Hair isn’t really like this right?????? 😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/N9oggQwBUg
