WATCH: Genesis Owusu – Same Thing
ARIA-nominated Ghanaian-Australian singer Genesis Owusu dropped a new single and music video today, Same Thing.
It’s the first new music released from the artist since his critically acclaimed debut Smiling with No Teeth was released back in March, and we love it!
Same Thing is hella-vibey, with a G-funk bassline driving the track forward over a super minimal drum and synth riff reminiscent of Prince.

And the video? Super weird, just the way we like it. Fueled to the tank top with glitches, gags and gradients, it’s a feast for the eyes that suits this champagne-bubbly music like a tux. Well done to director Byron Spencer on the cut, there.
