Paul Kelly sure knows how to throw a party. His annual Christmas show ‘Making Gravy’ is set to blow the popsicle stand that was 2022 with an incredible lineup.
Legendary singer-songwriter Paul Kelly has been putting on a Christmas party/show ‘Making Gravy’ for a while now. Last year saw Ball Park Music, Sycco, and Emma Donovan & The Putbacks help Kelly ring in the festive season.
This year, Kelly has pared it back to one show in Melbourne, (instead of two) sorry Brissee fans. One show it may be, but with punk rockers, Amyl and the Sniffers, it’s going to be anything but quiet!
Joining the Sniffers, are Alex the Astronaut, who matches Kelly’s, own story telling prowess, and New Zealand’s own The Beths, our favourite pop band that somehow gets away with super depressing lyrics, I dunno how they do it, but they do, and we love it.
The Beths have just dropped their new album, Expert in a Dying Field, which has gone straight to the top of the NZ music charts, no surprises there.
Better get in quick, because tickets are going to go FAST.
Paul Kelly, Amyl & the Sniffers, The Beths, and Alex The Astronaut are playing Making Gravy at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, on Friday 9 December.
Tickets are on sale from Wednesday 5 October.
