Justin Trudeau will ditch the legislature and sashay his way into an unprecedented guest spot on Drag Race.
Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau is set to make an appearance on an upcoming season of Drag Race, marking the first time a world leader has done so in the history of the franchise. Trudeau’s guest feature on the show was revealed in the trailer for the second season of Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World, an international spinoff of the Ru Paul-created original, Ru Paul’s Drag Race.
The trailer sees host Brooke Lynn Hytes introduce the politician to the new batch of competing drag queens, who’ll duke it out to earn the franchise’s second “drag superstar” crown by the season’s end. The upcoming instalment of the reality competition — which will also feature fellow guest hosts Gary Janetti and previous Drag Race contestant Monét X Change — will premiere globally on November 18 on WOWPresents Plus.
Elsewhere in the trailer, queens can be heard promising fans their expected dose of drama and excess, donning elaborate costumes and making mention of “sabotage” and “delusion”. While Trudeau is the first-ever head of government to appear on Drag Race, the show has hosted high-ranking politicians in the past, most recently welcoming US speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi to its stage for the seventh season of Drag Race All Stars earlier this year.
Trudeau joins a starry list of fellow Drag Race guests, with the likes of Lady Gaga, Aubrey Plaza, Nicki Minaj and Lizzo all appearing on the show throughout its decades-long run on the airwaves. It marks the latest instance of Trudeau’s support for the LQBTQI+ cause, having participated in numerous Pride Parades in his home country and also making a formal apology for injustices towards the community in 2017.

Living in the world, where politicans can use "ANTI-LGBTQ" as a part of their campaigns & recieving sympathy for it, it's absolutely surprising to see Prime-Minister of Canada just arriving on Drag Race. That's looks like the news from parallel universe. https://t.co/UnVjj5Urme
