It’s no secret that celebrity doppelgängers Chad Smith and Will Ferrell have a strong, yet humorous rivalry with each other. Back in 2014, they shared their first drum-off on The Tonight Show. Now, they have taken things to the next level with a full-blown showdown.
Celebrity doppelgängers Will Ferrell and Chad Smith have taken the drum off to a whole new level.
Dubbed the Red Hot Benefit Comedy + Music Show & Quinceanera, Ferrell is raising money for the charity Cancer for College, which provides scholarships for cancer survivors, while Smith raised funds for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, which was started by his bandmate Flea.
Instead of just being a standard drum off, the event included stand up comedy, and saw Smith and Ferrell team up with other celebrities. Smith’s team consisted of Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins and Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee, while Ferrell teamed up with actor Fred Armison, Fleetwood Mac’s Mick Fleetwood and the USC Marching Band. The night also saw a huge line-up of guest celebrities including Smith’s Red Hot Chilli Pepper’s bandmate Anthony Keidis.
