Last week, when we first laid ears on Kim Yang’s new EP Ocean Of Mind, we were immediately spell-bound by her haunting and hypnotic blend of sounds.

So, fresh off the EP’s release, here’s a complete run-down of each incredible track…

Fresh off the release of Kim Yang’s new EP Ocean Of Mind, we dive a little deeper into each of the EP’s brilliant tracks.

Ocean Of Mind

Set to a melancholic soundtrack that builds to an uplifting crescendo, Ocean of Mind tells a story of struggle and support. It’s a tale about someone overwhelmed with life and drowning in insecurity, who is saved through the love and support of those around them.

Produced and recorded by Guy Lilleyman at Amberly Studios and featuring guitar by Steve Smith.

Wake Me Up

Wake Me Up is a powerful song about the balance between love and lust. Inspired by powerful vocalists and backed by a driving ukulele, Kim tells the story of a couple always on the edge of falling out of love.

Produced and recorded at Amberly Studios with guitar and piano by Guy Lilleyman.

Missed Chance

After performing on national TV in Taiwan, Kim was trolled online and retreated from the limelight. Years later, Kim received a letter from an adoring fan encouraging her to ignore
detractors and embrace her talent. Missed Chance is the deeply personal response to that letter.

Produced and recorded by Guy Lilleyman at Amberly Studios and featuring guitar by Steve Smith.

Ocean Of Mind is available now. Listen above.
