On Friday, President Donald Trump made an executive order “protecting the nation from foreign terrorist entry into the United States.”
Even after airport arrival, whether it be US citizens or refugees, they weren’t allowed across the border.
Almost immediately the order was blocked by the Federal Court, which instead let people in the country who were already in transit with a green card or visa.
“Unconstitutional and inhumane” – Trump’s executive order has left anyone born in Iraq, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Libya and Somalia stranded behind the American border.
There was instantaneous backlash which sparked massive protest in airports around the country. Here’s just some of the reactions that followed:
- Air BnB co-founder and CEO Brian Chesky slammed Trump’s actions, then said he will give free housing to anyone not let into the country.
Airbnb is providing free housing to refugees and anyone not allowed in the US. Stayed tuned for more, contact me if urgent need for housing
