This September, for the first time in nearly four decades, ABBA will reportedly release new music. I don’t think many people expected this, but lord, I’m ready.
In a recent interview with Denmark’s Ekstra Bladet, band member Björn Ulvaeus gave an update on the band’s long-rumoured reunion, revealing when we can expect new tunes.
For the first time in nearly four decades, Swedish pop icons ABBA are finally set to release new music this September.
An ABBA hologram tour is in the works for later this year, and Björn says that that’s when their new music is expected to premiere.
In regards to the hologram tour, he says the band are “still working on” the band’s avatars, also saying the whole experience is “very strange, but also very fun.”
“The avatars will hopefully and probably sing a new ABBA song in a video in September or October,” he says.
So yes, it does appear that 2019 will be the year that the Swedish pop icons finally release new music. Exited?
