Victorian hardcore band, Abreact share high-octane hit, Honesty ahead of forthcoming album, Deceivers Are Coming.
Packed with menacing guitars, striking drums, high-powered vocals, evocative lyrics and an anthemic chorus, this energetic four-minute track will have you hitting the replay button over and over again.
Honesty is coupled with a captivating black-and-white music video, featuring band members Josh Cahill (vocals), Lee Chatterton (guitars/vox), Chris Hayden (bass) and Aaron Grey (drums).
While touching on themes of anxiety, paranoia and self-doubt, Honesty maintains an uplifting tone. As stated by the band, “it is important to believe in yourself. It is important to empower yourself to try and deal with these anxieties. You can overcome, turn the tables and flip the script.”
Abreact formed in Bendigo, Victoria in 2008. Since emerging onto the music scene with their debut album, Entities in 2012, the hardcore four-piece have risen from strength to strength, developing a devoted fanbase through their stellar catalogue, electrifying live shows, festival appearances alongside notable acts, and international recording opportunities.
Honesty is the second offering from their highly-anticipated forthcoming record, Deceivers Are Coming. It follows their blistering anthem, Paper Planes, which was unleashed during the height of the pandemic in 2020. To celebrate the new single, Abreact will be performing at the Bendigo Hotel in Melbourne this Friday (September 9), alongside local heavyweights Flaming Wrekage, Primitive, Nothing and Those Left Behind.
