Sydney-based songwriter Aela Kae has just revealed her stunning new tune Baby Face, and dropped the news that she will be stopping by Splendour In The Grass this year.
Her first release since 2016’s EP Mind Your Head, it’s been a long time between drinks for Aela Kae. Yet listening to this new tune, it’s like she never left.
Baby Face from Aela Kae soars high and lulls low, candid evidence that she’s spent the last two years refining her sound into something absolutely radiant.
Real name Mikaela Grob, the music of Aela Kae is an electronic/alternative tapestry that calls influence from touchstones Bon Iver, Jack Antonoff, and Grimes. Lush production and sublime vocals are the aim of the game for Aela Kae, and she certainly knows what she’s doing.
