Experimental Victorian four-piece Jaala have announced the release of their debut album, Hard Hold, as well as a national tour in support of the album.
Hard Hold will make its debut on Friday November 20 through Wondercore Island Records / ADA, and was produced and engineered by Paul Bender of Hiatus Kaiyote. The album was recorded live with minimal use of overdubbing to keep the raw and natural sounds of Jaala’s live performance. Singles Hard Hold and Salt Shaker, which will feature on the album, have already been released earlier this year.
To celebrate the release of Hard Hold, Jaala will be playing a couple shows in the east coast, which will see them hit up Melbourne’e John Curtain Bandroom on Saturday December 5, and Sydney’s Brighton Up Bar on Saturday December 12.
