Last week Arctic Monkeys officially announced their upcoming studio album Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino, and they’ve planned a huge string of tour dates to celebrate.
When they first started locking shows in, a few savvy eyes picked up a suspiciously Splendour In The Grass-sized hole in their run of dates. Today they’ve announced even more gigs but not to worry – an Australian appearance could still be on the cards.
Are Arctic Monkeys going to appear on tomorrow’s Splendour In The Grass lineup? There’s still a gap in their July tour dates, and we’ve got our fingers crossed.
Five days ago, Splendour’s official website started displaying a countdown, presumably to their lineup announcement tomorrow. That countdown finishes up tomorrow morning at 9am, and the rumour mill is in full swing.
Currently Arctic Monkeys are touring basically every night from May 5th through to (with the new announcement) September 27th.

Splendour In The Grass takes place between Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd of July at its usual venue, North Byron Parklands. Between their appearances at Mad Cool Festival in Spain and Forest Hills Stadium in New York, Arctic Monkeys are still sporting a gap in tour dates between July 13th and 24th.
