British crooner James Blake has made everyone’s Friday a whole lot smoother with the release of his new single Modern Soul. Seriously, just rock back in your favourite recliner with a good single malt and let this slow burner sink in.
Blake was doing a DJ residency at BBC1 when he premiered the track, which is most likely the first taste of his new album Radio Silence. Following the show he tweeted the link to the new song.

It’s been a little while between drinks for Blake, who had previously scheduled Radio Silence for a 2014 release. Instead he released the surprise EP 200 Press as the follow up to his Mercury Prize-winning Overgrown from 2013.
