Following news earlier this week that Aretha Franklin was “seriously ill,” it has been reported that the legendary singer passed away overnight in her Detroit home, surrounded by family and friends.
With a career spanning over five decades, Franklin has won 18 Grammy awards, shifted more than 75 million records, and rightfully earned the title ‘Queen of Soul’.
