Ariel Pink has shared a previously unreleased track titled Stray Her With You, along with a 2019 remastered version of his track So Glad – taken off the artist’s 2002 album Loverboy.
These rarities and more will be released through Pink’s label Mexican Summer as part of a new project labelled the Ariel Archives. It involves a comprehensive series of reissues and previous collections unearthed from extensive treasure trove most call Ariel Pink’s discography.
The early work of Ariel Pink is being reincarnated via the Ariel Archives, which will include one-off tracks, outtakes, and unreleased songs written between 1999 and 2018.
The first retrospective instalment of the Ariel Archives will include the 1999 debut album from his alter ego Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, titled Underground, along with the 2002 release Loverboy and a previous collection of outtakes called Odditties Sodomiues Vol. 2. These archives are expected to be launched digitally and on vinyl via Mexican Summer on October 25, with the rest of the series set to run into 2020.
Pink has celebrated this news by releasing Stray Here With Me from Oddities Vol. 2, a rework of So Glad from Loverboy. Also, there’s a ten minute film titled Chapter 8: Some Tutorials directed by Salvador Cresta.
