Danzal Baker is an Indigenous rapper, dancer, artists and actor who performs under the moniker Baker Boy. He is revered for his rhythmic acuity and lyrical wit, performing hip-hop songs in both English and Yolŋu Matha, the native language of peoples indigenous to Northeast Arnhem Land.
In 2017, Baker Boy released singles, Cloud 9 and Marryuna, produced by Jerome Farah, which both featured on Triple J's Hottest 100. In 2018, he performed with Yothu Yindi and Dizzee Rascal as well as played prime festival slots at Splendour in the Grass, Lanweway, Golden Plains WOMADelaide.
Baker Boy signed with Island Records and released single Cool As Hell in 2019 for which he received three ARIA nominations.
