Sydney duo Polish Club is one of Australia's leading rock outfits. The duo is made up of vocalist and guitarist David Novak and drummer John-Henry Pajak. Their twin-like dynamism shares a likeness to fellow rock duo Hockey Dad, crafting a sound defined by catchy hooks and dynamic arena rock.
From dropping their self-titled debut EP in 2015, Polish Club signed with Universal in 2017 and dropped their debut album Alright Already which was nominated for Best Rock Album in the ARIAs.
Since then they have dropped another EP Okie Dokie and 2019 album Iguana produced by Wade Keighran.
Despite numbering only two in membership, the experience of Polish Club live is a powerful (and loud) one. With brutal beats from the kit of Pajak, the force of Novak's guitar and especially voice is one to be reckoned with.
Perhaps owing to Novak's singular talent as a vocalist, the band is also a master of the art of cover versions. They famously released a version of All I Want for Christmas is You in 2017. A year later, in the midst of their smash single Clarity, they hit the Like a Version stage for an insane version of Savage Garden's megahit, Truly, Madly, Deeply.
