5 things to do to celebrate Aussie Music Month

Aussie Music Month kicks off today, and what better way to get into it than getting out of the house and checking out some of the best live acts going?

It’s November, which means we celebrate all-things Aussie music. There’s a lot of excitement in the air, with all the upcoming festivals, Spilt Milk, Summer Camp, Meredith, The Falls, and heading into the new year with Laneways. There is no shortage of killer lineups and loud as fuck speakers, ready to blow your mind and your ears.

We have broken down the local Sydney venue scene, so whether you are visiting and just passing through or you are one of the lucky ones who actually live here, we have a few suggestions below to while away your time.

happy mag launch

Frankies Pizza – The Hollywood Waltz

The Hollywood Waltz at its core is the heartbeat baseline of the 80’s. Think Daryl Hall & John Oates, crossed with Toto. The band is set to debut their forthcoming mini-album at Frankies Pizza just in time before the venue closes for good, yep that’s right, it’s getting knocked down. And what better way to salute one of Sydney’s music establishments, than to join The Hollywood Waltz for their debut album launch on November 10.
