avneesha. holds a commanding power in her voice. In a relatively short amount of time, the Brisbane-based artist has crafted a sound that feels simultaneously grounded and explorative; it’s rooted in honest lyricism, but stretches into new and exciting sonic territories.
Now, with the release of a new music video for her second single Real Ones, she continues to establish herself as one of the country’s more promising emerging pop acts. If you’re not already across this artist, we strongly recommend you change that now.
On her new video for Real Ones, Brisbane-based new-comer avneesha. showcases her subtle but powerful pop-hop brilliance.
Shot across avneesha’s hometown of Brisbane, the new clip perfectly accompanies the track’s vibrant but reflective pop sounds. With aesthetically pleasing videography, the clip begins in an empty warehouse, before travelling to various stunning locations. All throughout the video, you’ll be transfixed by the artist’s every move.
The track itself sees a beautiful marriage of R&B, pop, and hip-hop, resulting in something that feels equal parts refreshing and familiar. Across its three-minute run-time, the track glides through colourful, glassy synth lines, and endearing vocal melodies. By the time it reaches its conclusion, you’ll be completely on board with avneesha’s unique brand of music.
These are still relatively early days for this Brissy artist, but judging by the quality of everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more great tunes.
