A rare Beatles promo disc has just become the most expensive 7″ ever sold on Discogs.
Selling for a hefty $14,757 US ($19391.44 in dollarydoos), it was just $243 short of becoming the highest selling item ever on Discogs. Prince’s infamous Black Album still holds that title which sold for $15,000 back in June last year.
A Beatles promo rarity has been snatched up for almost $15,000, making it the most expensive 7″ record ever sold on vinyl marketplace Discogs.
The record in question was a demo of The Beatles’ first Parlophone demo single Love Me Do, with P.S. I Love You on the B-side. Only 250 copies were ever pressed, and hilariously enough Paul McCartney’s name was spelt wrong (McArtney).
