Black Sabbath cover band MacSabbath finally met Ozzy Osbourne

What do you get when you put fast food mascots and Black Sabbath covers together?

You get MacSabbath, the ‘drive-thru metal’ cover band that shouldn’t exist,  but who also recently met their real life counterpart, Ozzy Osbourne.

Ozzy meet Ronald – watch Ozzy Osbourne meet his fast food mascot equivalent in a previously unreleased episode of the Osbourne family reality TV series, Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour.

Playing on fast food puns, the band consists of Ronald Osbourne, Slayer MacCheeze, Grimalice and Catburglar.

Ozzy was surprised with a performance from the band in an unreleased episode of Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour, a new Osbourne family reality TV series.

The singer was led into a room with the stage cordoned off by red and yellow fabric and ghoulish Ronald McDonald faces propped up on posts. Before he knew it, Ronald Osbourne walked in yelling, “I am frying pan!” while wielding a frying pan on fire.

Though Ozzy was clearly delighted, the experience proved to be more memorable for Ronald.

“Being Ronald Osbourne, the front-clown for Mac Sabbath, isn’t easy. I have to meet all these fry-by-night ‘drive-through metal’ icons like Burger King Diamond, Cinnibon Jovi and KFCC DeVille, look them in the eye and pretend like my indigestion is not acting up.”

If you too want to see Ozzy Osbourne in the flesh, be sure to head along to Download Festival in Sydney and Melbourne this coming March. Tickets available here.
