The auction will feature unique, one-off pieces, including Alex Van Halen’s custom-designed Ludwig drum kit.

The kit was played in over 100 Van Halen shows, during their 1980 “Invasion Tour”. If that’s not exclusive enough for you, it is the first and only Van Halen drum kit to ever feature in the auction.

Additionally, the selling price will be going to the charity via the Frangioni Foundation and Mr Holland’s Opus. With a hefty $200,000 – $300,000 sale estimate, things could be looking up for these charities.

Other instruments that once belonged to big names, including Blondie and KISS, will also be available.

Costumes and outfits worn by the likes of Cher, Lady Gaga, Destiny’s Child and Miley Cyrus will feature, along with handwritten lyrics and caricatures by Elton John and Kurt Cobain.

With just over two weeks till the auction begins, biddings have already started. If you’re dying to get your hands on that signed booklet by Whitney Houston or that cute Lady Gaga fit that emits some strong 60’s vibes, then start bidding!
