Dave Grohl is apparently working on a new documentary series

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl may be making a new documentary series, according to his busking buddy and Grammy award-winning singer Brandi Carlile.

American singer Brandi Carlile has mentioned Dave Grohl might be making a documentary series, whilst in an interview discussing fun times busking together.

Talking to Rolling Stone about the busking experience, Carlile let it slip that Grohl had mentioned a secret project of his. She said:

“I don’t totally want to give it away, but he came out to my house to talk to me about something he’s working on. It’s more like one of his doc-series…We hung out and rode four-wheelers around my house all day, cooked dinner and did shots of tequila — just had a great time.”

The two were spotted busking together outside of Seattle’s Pike Place Market. Speaking of playing with Grohl, Carlile described the experience as “surreal”, reflecting on her younger years busking for petrol money. They covered Imagine by The Beatles and played the Foo Fighters own Times Like These.

A documentary in the making does make a lot of sense, as The Foo Fighters are taking a bit of time off after tirelessly touring last year. However, the band still has a few shows up their sleeves including a tour with Weezer and Tenacious D beforehand.

We have no clue what the documentary will be about, but he is no newcomer to film-making having already put out Sound City, Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways and PLAY.

We can’t wait to hear about what he’s got planned!
