Dave Grohl stars in wholesome new Sesame Street hit ‘Here We Go Song’

Over its 50 year run, Sesame Street has showcased many a celebrity and in its fifth decade, Dave Grohl has been added to the fame-filled alumni with a catchy new track Here We Go Song.

Accompanied by Big Bird and Elmo, the rockstar once again shows his range by appealing to a much younger crowd. But you know what? I’m old and this shit is still golden.

What do you get when you put Big Bird, Elmo and Dave Grohl in a street together? Some of the most wholesome content we’ve seen in weeks.

It’s fair to say that anything that Grohl is a part of turns to gold with the likes of Nirvana, Foo Fighters and a solo career on his extraordinary resume. It seems now that children’s entertainment is just another aspect of his creative repertoire, appearing on Ryan’s Mystery Playdate prior to his Sesame Street performance.

Singing with two puppets in front of a green screen may seem like a PR move to stay relevant, but Grohl has always been relevant. This is just proof that singing on Sesame Street is cool.

With a chorus that goes:

“All across America, whoah-oh, whoah-oh
From our street to your street, woah-oh, here we go
La la la, la la la, here we go
La la la, la la la, here we go
La la la la la la la la, la la la la la la la”

It’s hard not to sit back with a smile on your face as the three dance across the famous street we all knew as kids.

If you haven’t already, watch it, you won’t be disappointed.
