The DIOLA crew is back with a vengeance, ready to blow the roof off of Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum with their “Thinking About You Vol. 2” showcase on Thursday, March 9th.
This immersive event is not your average concert – it’s a multi-sensory experience that aims to bring people together through the power of storytelling. And with a lineup that features some of the most exciting names in contemporary R&B, soul, and electronic music, this promises to be a night to remember.
Leading the charge is Ladi6, the genre-bending New Zealand outfit that has been pushing sonic boundaries for over a decade. With a sound that defies easy categorization – blending elements of soul, electronic, and hip-hop into a seamless whole – Ladi6 is one of the most exciting acts to emerge from the Southern Hemisphere in recent years. And after an eight-year absence from the Sydney stage, they’re back and ready to remind audiences why they’re one of the most beloved acts in the game.
Joining Ladi6 are two rising stars from the Western Sydney music scene: A.GIRL and Gemma Navarrete. A.GIRL has been making waves with her soulful, R&B-inflected sound and incisive lyrics that celebrate diversity and inclusion. With accolades including a win at the FBi Awards and a coveted slot at triple j Unearthed’s Listen Out festival, she’s poised to become one of Australia’s next big things. Rounding out the night will be a crew of local DJ tastemakers, including Hina Haze, Kiminza, Marty, Kristelle, and Edseven B2B DIOLA, who will be spinning a heady mix of amapiano, electronic soul, hip-hop, future house, broken beat, reggae, and afrobeats.
