Download Festival has been a pilgrimage for metal heads and hardcore fans alike. With next year’s huge lineup appealing to all demographics (including a newly reunited My Chemical Romance), things are about to get a lot heavier.
In keeping with the Christmas spirit, it’s time to announce some massive sideshows.
With an already massive Sydney and Melbourne Download Festival, it looks like nobody is going to miss out on seeing their favourite heavy bands.
Some of the biggest heavy acts in the world have announced they will be playing extra shows on top of their Download commitments. Deftones, In Flames, Ministry, Baroness, The HU, and Testament have all locked in dates if you aren’t already planning to see them at Download in March.
Two of the most forward-thinking metal acts on the planet, Deftones and Baroness, will be playing together in Brisbane on the 18th of March at Fortitude Music Hall. A gig that will surely be one of the best concerts you can go to next year. The Mongolian metal machines, The HU, will be bringing their raucous live shows to our shores for the first time in a pair of shows you won’t want to miss.
All the sideshows will be in Adelaide and Brisbane, making sure that no one will miss out on the festivities. It looks like a lot of people will be asking Santa for some very particular presents this Christmas. For the full Download Festival lineup click here.
