Elton John has announced that he’s bringing his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour to Australia and New Zealand in 2023 and we couldn’t be more excited.
Elton John has added encore shows to his massive world tour Farewell Yellow Brick Road which means our favourite rocket man is coming to Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Brisbane in January 2023.
It’s been a couple of years since Australia has had the world’s biggest superstars stopping by to entertain us thanks to the old spicey cough but as things go back to normal it’s a delight to see one of the most esteemed performers, Elton John has booked his flights to Aus.
Elton John actually started this mammoth tour in September 2018 and has already played 300 shows across five continents but now, he’s back due to high demand.
Elton last stepped foot in Australia just before the world closed down, playing 19 dates down under in March 2020.
Since the star was forced to postpone a number of New Zealand shows, he is coming back to finish the job so I guess he figured he might as well pop into Australia while he’s down here.
After the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour ends, Elton John will have played a whopping total of 233 concerts in Australia. This is all the proof we need to know Elton is still standing. What a legend.
The name of the tour suggests this is going to be the last run for the timeless rocker but, since he’s already scheduled one encore, what’s to say he won’t do another as soon as he starts missing Australia again.
