Enmore Theatre, Sydney’s longest running and most beloved live theatre

Every music venue has its charm. Wheather it’s location, stage, sound, staff or simply a vibe, it’s not hard to find something you like about a space. With the Enmore Theatre, it’s hard to find something you don’t like about it.

Sydney’s (nay, NSW’s) oldest and longest-running live theatre, the Enmore oozes charm. In my opinion, it’s the perfect venue: full of character, great sound, great location and the perfect size (for most bands anyway). Here’s all you need to know about the theatre, from capacity to tickets to closing times.

Find out all the details for the Enmore Theatre, including opening hours, ticketing, phone number, capacity and more below.

The Enmore Theatre opened in 1908. On the scale of things, it’s a medium-sized venue, with a capacity of 2,500 for music events and 1630 seated. While it’s the perfect place to see bands, the Enmore has also built its legacy on hosting a wide range of events, from comedy to drama.

Located in Enmore Road on the border of Enmore and Newtown, it’s one of the two remaining art-deco buildings (it was extensively renovated in the 1920s, and 5 more times since) left in Sydney and, of course, it’s heritage listed.
