Never one to shy away from appearing slightly strange, Father John Misty has released a lullaby that was originally intended for a skit on Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show.
The lullaby has been dubbed Maybe, Sweet One, You Won’t Have Nightmares Tonight. Featuring lyrics about sheets made out of meat, detached genitals and “a spherical map which suddenly morphs into the face of your dad”. The tune is nothing short of disturbing and ghoulish, but Josh Tillman and his soulful voice somehow seem to pull it off.
