Fender’s Tom Morello Soul Power Stratocaster pays tribute to an icon

Fender has announced their latest addition to their Artist Series, the Tom Morello Soul Power Stratocaster. Based on the modified Designer Series Stratocaster Morello used in his Audioslave days, the unique guitar joins the series alongside recreations of guitars used by Jimmy Page, Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, and many others.

Morello’s distinctive playing with Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave required an equally distinctive guitar, and Fender has packed this edition full of unique features designed to emulate Morello’s iconic sound.Tom Morello Stratocaster

Joining guitarists such as Jimmy Page and Kurt Cobain, the Tom Morello Soul Power Stratocaster is the latest addition to the Fender Artist Series.

The Soul Power Strat features an alder slab body with binding and a Modern C-shape maple neck with 9.5″-14″ compound radius rosewood fingerboard and 22 medium-jumbo frets. It also features a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails humbucker in the bridge, with two Fender Noiseless pickups in the neck and middle positions.

The special features come in the form of a Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo, for dive-bombing effects without going out of tune, and a kill switch for stutter effects.

The Soul Power Strat features a black finish with matching headstock and a chrome pickup. The Soul Power decal is included inside the case, so you have the option to include it on your guitar or not.

The Tom Morello Soul Power Stratocaster retails for $2699AUD. For more information, head to Fender.
