Finland’s PM Sanna Marin apologises for topless pic on social media

Sanna Marin apologises for the posting of an “inappropriate” picture, taken at her residence, of two topless women kissing.

The personal life of Sanna Marin is under criticism once again, mere days after footage of her partying at a private residence infiltrated the media. Now, the Finnish PM has apologised for another piece of personal content being made public.

This time, it is an image, which she confirmed was taken at her summer home in Helsinki, of two topless women kissing each other, while covering their breasts with a sign that says “FINLAND”.

Reportedly, the two women featured in the photo are well-known influencers. One of them, named Sabina Sarkka, was responsible for posting the “inappropriate picture” to her Instagram account back in June, and is “deeply sorry” for doing so.

Speaking on the matter, Prime Minister Sanna Marin says: “In my opinion, the picture is not appropriate. I apologize for it. That kind of a picture should not have been taken but otherwise, nothing extraordinary happened at the get-together.”

According to Marin, the photo was snapped on a day during which she and the two women “had sauna, swam and spent time together” privately at her place.
