Christmas is a time of indulgence. We’d like to say it’s about togetherness and giving, but let’s be honest, all that good will goes out the window when you find a pair of socks under the tree with your name on it. While glazed ham and pudding are the staples of the yuletide feast, it may all be worth ditching upon discovering Japan’s latest gift to humanity since Pokemon, the chocolate slice. Like cheese slices, but delicious, mouth watering chocolate instead. We’ll give you a moment to collect your drool off the floor.
If you’re planning on making one of those ‘new year, new me’ resolutions for 2016 chances are you’ll be hard pressed to keep that promise. These chocolate slices come from Japanese manufacturer Bourbon, who have advertised the choco slices online in a variety delicious snacks other than just slapping it on your sandwich. Take these chocolate and banana rolls for instance.
Why not impress at high tea with some chocolate coated fruit.
And for the ultimate picnic date, cut and sculpt the slices into roses.
Thank you Japan, thank you.
