One of the greatest pioneers in hip-hop history, the Wu-Tang Clan, are set to head to Australia to tour in February 2016, their first since 2011.
The announcement comes after mysterious posters claiming “Wu-Tang Is Coming” began popping up around cities across the country. Although various members of Wu-Tang have toured in Australia in recent years, it’s almost been 5 since the entire crew have been here together. Last time Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, GZA, U-God, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, Mathematics and Young Dirty all made an appearance.
That being said it is unclear which members will be appearing this time around as there have been multiple disputes within the band in their history. Wu-Tang Clan will play three shows, in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
The tour follows the release of the band’s ultra-exclusive new record Once Upon A Time In Shaolin. Check out all the details surrounding that here. It’s a bit of a story.
Tuesday, February 23rd at Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne
Wednesday, February 24th at Allphones Arena, Sydney
Friday, February 26th at River Stage, Brisbane
