Strymon is a company that specialises in groundbreaking effects pedals – their new Iridium amp and cabinet modeller is a welcome addition to that list. With smash hits like the Timeline delay and Bigsky reverb, Strymon is more than capable of crafting amazing tones with their ingenious use of DSP.

Iridium is a pedal that delivers characterful stereo amplifier tones, stunningly realistic cabs, and lush room ambience direct to a recording interface or PA system. Iridium pedal

Strymon’s Iridium pedal proves that amp modelling just keeps getting better. Go direct with gorgeous tone whether on stage, in the studio or at home.

The pedal features 3 iconic amps – Round (Fender Deluxe Reverb), Chime (VOX AC30) and Punch (Marshall Plexi). Strymon’s Matrix Modelling process captures all the subtleties and unique tonal qualities of each amplifier.

Every aspect of their circuitry has been mathematically modelled to deliver the feel of playing through the original amps. Careful attention has also been taken to capturing the dynamic non-linear elements of the amps various tube stages.

As for the cabinet section, 9 IR (Impulse Response) speaker cabinets are included in Iridium. From a 1×12 Blues Junior to a 4×12 Mesa Boogie, there’s a voicing for everyone. You can swap your favourite cabs in and out of the ABC slots with Strymon Impulse Manager software, or save and recall a favourite setting with the Fav switch.

Iridium features customary Drive, Level, Treble, Mid and Bass controls familiar to many amps, as well as hybrid room reverb. The Space control lets you dial in the reverb with a 256-millisecond stereo impulse response. Strymon’s reverb tank algorithm places your amp and cab in a natural sounding room, creating a space for your amp to open up and breathe.
