Google is giving out significant pay rises to four of their top executives just weeks after telling their staff they wouldn’t adjust salaries for inflation.
Google is feeling pretty generous this holidays season. For some, already wealthy staffers. As for the rest of their staff, Google is being a downright grinch.
Google has dished out pay rises to four of its top executives. The salaries have been bumped from $650,000 to $1 million.
The new wages were disclosed in an SEC filing and boy oh, it would suck to read that as a staff member who just wanted a little bump as their rent was raised.
The fancy pants execs who received the $1 million base salaries are senior vice president Prabhakar Raghavan, senior vice president, chief business officer Philipp Schindler and chief financial officer Ruth Porat cause, duh.
While Google is known for having a ‘fun’ work environment that rewards their staffers with silly games and a snack bar, that shit doesn’t pay the bills. Pay your staff properly, Google.
