Green Day announce new graphic novel, The Last Of The American Girls

Green Day have co-authored a new graphic novel titled The Last of the American Girls. It’s a rallying cry for all rebel girls, co-authored and illustrated by Frank Caruso.

Green Day have announced their first-ever graphic novel, The Last Of The American Girls, paying homage to and providing a handbook for women refusing to capitulate.

Since they exploded in 1994, Green Day became the voice of a generation with their high-energy rock and relatable, witty lyrics. Derived from their 2009 album 21st Century Breakdown, Last of the American Girls is a full colour book symbolising and empowering the outspoken, strong, non-conformist women of today, almost a decade on.

The book will challenge the oppressive and traditional roles placed on women, ‘taking on both the establishment and the upwardly mobile, espousing an infectious spirit that has never been more relevant’.

Rock on Green Day, your iconoclastic messages are still as relatable today as they were 10 years ago, if not more so.
