GUM unveils the first taste of a new LP with Anesthetized Lesson

POND/Tame Impala multi-instrumentalist and solo troubadour GUM (aka Jay Watson) has dropped the first full taste of his forthcoming second album, the follow up to last year’s intergalatic jam, Delorean Highway.

Anesthetized Lesson follows the skewed pop blueprint of his 2015 effort, dabbling in spacey sonic escapades and funk-addled tangents. With modulated vocals and skittish synthesizers, the track drives home the colorful psychedelic influence that pervades the entire POND/Tame Impala world.

GUM is definitely the most whacky, goonish of-shoot of the Perth troupe. His second LP, Glamorous Damage, is due out Friday November 13th via Spinning Top Music.
