Halsey responds to fans who ditched her show during abortion rights speech: “Downside of outdoor venues, no door to hit them on the way out.”
Following her concert on Sunday night, American singer-songwriter Halsey made an epic clap-back at fans who stormed off during a “my body, my choice” chant that was led by her during the show.
Reports began to circulate across social media about the incident, and Halsey had this to say via Twitter: “downside of doing outdoor venues, no door to hit them on the way out.”
During a speech about her devastation with the overturning of Roe v Wade, Halsey said: “I’m running out of ways to word and frame the severity of the impact that fundamentalism has on our country.”
The pop songstress also added that she would “need a little bit of time to speak to some people with more authority and experience than me and gather my thoughts.”

She continued, “I don’t want to just contribute to antagonistic noise. I’m just defeated at the moment.”
Since last week’s decision made by the US Supreme Court to overturn Roe v Wade, Halsey has become one of many artists to speak out on their outrage at the harmful decision. And despite the disagreement expressed by a number of her fans, it’s good to see that Halsey is refusing to stand down.
