Happy Mag’s guide to Go Here Go There 2018

Next month, Go Here Go There Festival will be descending upon Kings Cross for a massive night of live music, venue hopping, and most importantly… dancing.

With a huge selection of bands and DJs to be performing across five different venues, Go Here Go There will aim to spotlight the eclectic mix of bars and live music that Kings Cross has on offer.

Of course, a festival with this much on offer can get a little overwhelming. So we’ve put together an extensive guide to this phenomenal event.

Go Here Go There Festival is fast approaching… and we’re getting pretty dang excited. So we’ve put together an extensive guide to this incredible event.

The Music

On October 20th, Go Here Go There will be bringing together a selection of our country’s best artists… but here are a few acts that you definitely shouldn’t miss out on.

Ever since we first heard Sunscreen’s track Voices at the start of last year, we were immediately hooked on their jangly, sun-soaked sounds. They’ve since gone on to release an incredible EP that we’ve had spinning on repeat since we first heard it. Sunscreen are one of the best live bands currently making the rounds… so do yourself a favour and catch them live in The Cross next month.

Elsewhere on the lineup, Canberra quartet Moaning Lisa will be bringing their unique brand of alt-rock to The Cross. Their set will be taking place one day after they release their upcoming EP Do You Know Enough? So don’t miss your chance to catch Moaning Lisa performing fresh-hot new material.

Also taking to the stage as part of Go Here Go There will be Mezko, Coda Conduct, Ebony Boadu, Alex Dyson, and a massive list of others. Check out the full lineup for yourself here.

The Venues

All these incredible acts will be performing across five different venues, so you’ll truly be able to get a feel for what top-notch nightlife Kings Cross has on offer.

For the past number of months, World Bar has become a hotspot for live local music with their weekly Otto’s House Party gigs. Having hosted such bands as The Dandelion, Party Dozen, Fritz, and a heap of others, Otto’s has turned a lot of heads towards this Kings Cross venue. Next month, World Bar will continue their support for live music by hosting a number of these incredible artists.

Also getting in on the action will be Candy’s Apartment, Potts Point Hotel, Kings Cross Hotel, and Jangling Jacks… so make sure you set aside time to go get a dance in at each of these fabulous locations.

The best part about all this, is that one ticket will grant you unlimited access to each of these five locations. For 25 bucks, you can come and go as you like to World Bar, Candy’s Apartment, Potts Point Hotel, Kings Cross Hotel, and Jangling Jacks.
