Sunscreen are a Sydney indie rock quartet who formed in 2016. The lead singer and main songwriter Sarah Sykes also plays in Sydney mainstays Flowertruck. The commanding and dynamic voice of Sykes propels Sunscreen’s dreamy indie-rock sound to transcendent heights.
Their debut single Voices aired on ABC’s Rage for six weeks straight, quickly followed by debut EP Just A Drop, released via Spunk! Records and Dinosaur City Records. Sunscreen’s sophomore EP Falling In An Elevator, produced by Simon Berkelman, solidified the bands penchant for ethereal, hook driven rock as well as their development as songwriters.
