Regional NSW set to get a taste of Spunk and Dinosaur City’s finest with Hometowns

If you live in a remote, regional town in NSW, or have at least been to one, you must have wondered ‘where the are gigs?’ Hometowns, a united league of wicked acts formed from home-grown record labels Spunk and Dinosaur City Records, are gearing up to deliver the musical goods to regional towns across NSW this November and December.

Hometowns is set to make its way from Bellingen to Bermagui, Avalon to Wagga, with artists like Jack Ladder, Body Type and Big White returning to their respective towns of origin to re-inject the musical arts into rural communities.

The Hometowns tour will be venturing out to the more remote regional towns of NSW, featuring plenty of artists who call these places home.

Fundamental to the Hometowns project will be its support to towns and communities who are often missed on the typical East Coast touring circuit. Ongoing talks will be held at the artists’ former high schools which will provide unique insights into the music industry, alongside performances which are scheduled to take place from November 9 through till late December.

Create NSW will be collaborating with Dinosaur City Records and Spunk who, as regionally affiliated labels, recognise the value in engaging Australians from all walks of life.

Hometowns will also have a commemorative value for Spunk who are celebrating their 20th birthday this year, holding an extra special edition of Spunk’s own Coalchella Festival in Wombarra mid-way through the tour.
