Here’s the latest goss and a release date for Stranger Things season 3

With the release date creatively revealed for Stranger Things Season 3, here’s all the latest goss.

The third instalment of your favourite fan theory inducing, ’80s inspired thriller Stranger Things will be released on July 4, which was confirmed on the new poster from Jan 1.

A poster and accompanying video have been released announcing the premiere of Stranger Things 3, to a whole lot of fan theories as per usual.

Looking for clues in the poster, shown below, Eleven and Will are shown as the only characters looking into the camera, while Mike looks at Eleven, and everyone else looks at the fireworks.

Reality and TV also seem to collide with the release date, Independence Day in America, and the fireworks in the poster mirroring one another.

The accompanying video, announcing the date, shows Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve special from 1985. This is also the year in which Season 3 will be set. Dick Clark is then interrupted by the phrases “When blue and yellow meet in the West” and “The Silver Cat Feeds” on a retro computer screen with green writing.

There are a number of fan theories about this video. The phrases have been linked to pages from the Behind-the-Scenes book, as well as the colours of Eleven and Mike’s clothing when they met being blue and yellow.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve was sponsored by Starcourt Mall. A fake advertisement for Starcourt Mall was also featured in the July trailer for Season 3.

One fan on Reddit even considered that “When blue and yellow meet” refers to the colours of the yellow big hand and blue small hand on the clock featured in Starcourt Mall, which would be at 12pm on New Year’s.

We have just scratched the surface of these fan theories and my brain hurts. There is definitely a lot we don’t know about what’s to come in Season 3 of Stranger Things.
