Hotel Steyne’s Surf Week promises a jam-packed program of music and art

With the end of summer just past and the warmer weather fading, it’s time to get those last glorious beach days in. What better way to do this than with a bit of culture at the Hotel Steyne’s Surf Week?

To celebrate the wide world of surfing, the Steyne will be promoting music, art and photography from the 20th-24th of March in honour of the 2019 Sydney Surf Pro. Each day there will be a surf photo exhibition followed by a Lamor art display in Henry’s Rooftop (along with plenty of live music).

Find us a better way to wrap up a day in the sun than with a fine beer, live music and art at Hotel Steyne’s Surf Week.

On Thursday 21st there will be a state of the art fashion parade in the Glasshouse hosted by Sisstrevolution and Amuse Society, who aim to promote women in the industry. There will also be a pile of giveaways, a BBQ, and $25 Corona buckets among other drink specials.

On the music front there will be plenty of great local acts such as Marvell, Buffalo Grass Boys, Adam Katz, Duan and Only, LAD16 and and Black Bird Hum.

To round it all out, the Steyne with throw down a huge afterparty on Sunday 24th with Nigel Spence Duo and Gervais Koffi providing all your musical needs.

All this comes after the announcement that, for the first time, women will be paid the same amount of prize money as men in the World Surf League. Prior to this the prize money was roughly half that of their male counterparts.

So if you feel like a bit of surf culture at one of Manly’s most iconic venues, head down to the Hotel Steyne from March 20-24.
