This is not a drill; Two Door Cinema Club have announced their False Alarm Australian tour off the back of the album release. The gang are bringing their beloved indie rock to our shores this November with a string of shows in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane.
Since their 2010 debut album Tourist History, the Northern Ireland trio have accumulated a worldwide following of fans. Almost a decade after, the band are back from a break with their Jackknife-produced album featuring tracks such as Satellite, Once, and Talk.
Indie icons Two Door Cinema Club are hitting Aussie shores with a string of dates in celebration of their new LP False Alarm.
The new record proves the band can stay just as fresh, experimental and fun as when we first knew them. An amalgamation of ’80s pop and experimental electronics, False Alarm is a synth-y jam from a band sure of their style.
On their ever-changing somehow yet still iconic sound, lead singer Alex Trimble says “It sounds like Two Door Cinema Club – not a Two Door Cinema Club there’d ever been before, but that’s what I love. We can always do something new but it always feels like something we’ve done.”
“I love doing things that are a little bit wonky and I love the idea of doing something we haven’t done before, why can’t we do all of those things at once?”
Two Door are already set to headline at Grapevine Gathering in Victoria, New South Wales and for the first time, Western Australia. The party is continuing with these new dates announced below.
