Iggy Pop has collaborated with Stumptown for a unique signature blend. The coffee is contained in an elegant black bag, personally designed by Iggy himself.
Produced by the Bies Penantan community from the province of Aceh, Sumatra, and assembled by the female led Ketiara Cooperative, this rockstar bean juice sounds like the real deal.
Iggy’s coffee is processed using a traditional wet-hulling technique, and the finished product releases notes of “dates, nutmeg, and a long, chocolatey finish”.
Clearly buying Iggy’s coffee is a good thing for many reasons, but perhaps the best of which is that some of the proceeds go towards Girls Rock Camp Alliance. This is an organisation that provides crucial resources for a network of youth-centred arts and social justice initiatives.
It’s also a global initiative, so every time you buy your bag of Iggy goodness, your proceeds may help any of the camps in Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia. The organisation is a great cause, and to make a donation you need only click here.
This recent bit about Iggy Pop’s coffee collaboration emerges in addition to news regarding his new book of lyrics, photographs and exclusive reflections, not to mention a reissue of his sixth LP Zombie Birdhouse.
Stumptown has locations all over the United States, including New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Portland.
